How We Work
What Makes Me Different?
Eileen Roth’s approach to organization is to put everything in its place. And she does this using systems. Even if you put things away neatly; if there’s no reason to put it there, you will not keep doing it. Neat does not necessarily mean organized. Papers can be neatly filed away in folders, but if you can’t find them quickly, they aren’t organized in any type of system. Eileen’s organizing prinicples are simple and practical. And once you implement them, it will only take you minutes a day to stay that way. All you do is follow the system. Eileen also has a number of acronyms to help you remember her systems.
Office Organization
For individuals:
Organizing your files, paper or computer, usually involves designing a new file system.
Eileen starts out with some basic ideas, and then you work together to customize a system that works for you.
For departments or entire companies: Eileen likes to work with all of the people involved. The best way to save time and be more productive is to have everyone using the same organizational system. So we usually recommend training first, and then individual consulting to customize specific needs.
There’s a strong benefit for everyone learning the same file system. This makes it easier to find information if someone is out sick or on vacation because everyone used the same basic system. They will find things easily even if they never used those particular files before.
There’s a second benefit in training everyone in the organization. When employees are transferred or promoted, they will adapt faster to a new position. They will already know the basic file sysem and can easily find current projects or permanent files in their new job.
Time Management Systems
Consulting with Individuals:
Individual consulting will help you achieve better time management in your day. You will be more efficient and more productive on your projects. Eileen can work with you one-on-one to see where you need specific help from planning your goals to making lists or overcoming your timewasters.
Training For Companies:
No one really works alone unless they are self-employed. Time Management training for everyone in the organization will help teams and departments work together better. People will be more efficient and more productive on their own and in groups. Projects will be completed faster. Meetings will take less time. Better time management skills will reduce overall costs and increase company profits.
